BA Major Concentrations

Communication Studies Major Concentrations

The Department of Communication Studies offers five concentrations in addition to the general B.A. in Communication Studies: Organizational & Leadership Communication, Public Communication & Advocacy, Relational Communication, Communication Studies, and Teachers Certification in Speech.

Org & Leadership Comm

Organizational & Leadership Communication

The Organizational & Leadership Comm major prepares students to manage and shape a company’s internal and external communications, including media strategy, crisis management, and brand messaging.

Public Comm & Advocacy

Public Communication & Advocacy

Public Comm & Advocacy explores techniques of effective argumentation, public speaking, and strategic messaging to influence opinions, drive action, and shape public discourse across various fields.
