Communication Studies Graduate Association
Communication Studies Graduate Association (CSGA) is a departmental organization dedicated to unifying the graduate students in Communication Studies at Texas State University. CSGA members come together for official events and unofficial events. Official events include professional development and research seminars. Unofficial events include social and philanthropic events. The goals of these meetings are for graduate students to learn more about academia and jobs outside of academia. These events can range from Texas State football games to cleaning up the river to socials at local restaurants. The members of CSGA coordinate these events to acquaint themselves and establish a support system with their fellow peers in the program. CSGA helps students to familiarize themselves with what to do outside of the classroom as well as aid students in befriending their peers who will become friends during the program and beyond.
